These are the few technical words you may hear while using MCP, Xnurta, Amazon advertising, marketplace operations, and reporting.
MCP, in everyday language
| Term | Plain-language meaning | Marketplace example |
| Host | The AI app where the conversation happens. | Your team's approved AI workspace. |
| Client | The connection from the app to one service. | The link from the AI app to Xnurta. |
| Server | A focused service that provides information or actions. | Xnurta's published MCP service. |
| Tool | A named operation the service can perform. | A look-up such as get_ads_perf. |
| Resource | Information or a document the service makes available. | A saved source document or structured reference. |
| Prompt | A reusable question pattern. | A template for asking for a clear comparison. |
| Transport | How messages travel between the app and the service. | The way a remote service receives a request. |
| Capability | Something the service knows how to do. | Whether it can provide tools, documents, or updates. |
| Authority | Which system's record to trust for a particular question. | Ads, stock, and margin may each have a different source to trust. |
| Provenance | Where a number came from and when you got it. | Source, account, dates, how current it is, and the look-up used. |
Words for the work
| Term | Use it to mean | Do not imply |
| Read | Look at information you are allowed to see. | Permission to change a campaign or listing. |
| Recommendation | A suggested response supported by facts and stated assumptions. | An action already approved or completed. |
| Change set | A short list of proposed changes that someone can review. | A live change in an account. |
| Freshness | How current and complete the information is. | Proof that the information is always right. |
| Reconciliation | Comparing the numbers, dates, and surrounding details before deciding. | Extra polish after the answer is done. |
| Metric contract | The shared definition of a number, including its source and limits. | A label that means something different for every client. |
| ASIN | Amazon's ID for a product. | A campaign or a sales result. |
| ACOS | Ad cost compared with ad sales. | The same thing as profit margin. |
| ROAS | Sales earned for each dollar spent on ads. | Proof that the campaign made money after all costs. |
